Yesterday I went to Better Bike Shop on Monterey to get a quote on switching the final parts from my old Motiv frame to my lighter Marin frame. He quoted me at least $50, so I decided that I’d have a pro finish the job for me.

Here’s what I had for last night: a shot of Jack (divided into two half-shots cause I suck at drinking), an eighth of a shot of 151, and 2 bottles of Corona. Watched Scary Movie and Mission Impossible 2. Here’s a pic of all the madness:

I should be studying, but I’ll end up just studying late at night anyway. So instead I went back to Better Bikes with my bikes with me (thank goodness I brought my Jeep instead of the Civic). Poncho, the guy who operated the service shop, initially quoted me $60. That included moving the rest of the parts (pedals, bottom bracket, rear derailleur, rear wheel, chain) from the Motiv frame to the Marin frame, as well as checking over my previous installations, and general maintenance. The bearings in the bottom bracket cassete looked pretty dry, so Poncho said he’d lube it. I also decided to replace all the cables on the bike because they were quite rusted already (plus they were sized for the original bike). I would have only paid $60 for everything, but another $20 had to be tacked on because the rear derailleur from the Motiv frame was incompatible with the Marin. So by the end of Monday, I should finally have a new bike again.

I got a haircut today. Yay. I always seem to shy from the razor when the hair stylist goes around my ear area. Guess I’m still paranoid after getting my ears knicked a long time ago.

Waiting on laundry to finish. It’s another three-washer-wide load. But I was still able to stuff it all into one dryer.

I’m still full from my Taco Roco burrito. I have another one in the fridge waiting for me. Think I’ll just have it for lunch tomorrow. And the menudo is also waiting for me. Gotta love the soup, but I just can’t stand the tripe!

That’s about all for now. I really should study.
