My Physics professor is absolute physics pimp. No, I’m talking about him in the negative view. A lot of people on Polyratings called this dude a racist, sexist, etc. No, I just call him the physics pimp, since he pushes physics so much on you. This dude just can’t take a clue that he’s absolutely consuming all my time with his one class. Let’s see why I’m so pissed off about his class:

1) Although the class is really scheduled for TR 12:00PM – 1:30PM, he forces us to come into office hours to submit homework due on Friday. Come on, Friday?!? I’m supposed to be free of physics by Thursday.

2) To make it worse, I also have to take his friggin lab from 3-6PM. He had to be special by linking his lab and lectures together. Can’t take one or the other; has to be both. This leaves me with absolutely no opportunity to goto Farmers , since I now have to use the rest of my evening to finish other HW from classes I officially have on Friday. My day on Thursday goes like this: Work from 8-11, Physics lecture from 12-1:30, math lab from 2-3, and physics lab from 3-6. Way too much crap for one day, thanks to his lab/lecture linking and Friday homework.

3) He does online homework which is due midnight the night before class. Why can’t he just make the deadline immediately before class on the next day? That way, if I still had problems with an assignment, I could sleep over it for a bit and start again the next day. The online HW system he uses is also merciless, since it doesn’t do partial credit stuff, and gives negative points for wrong multiple choice answers. So here’s a HW recap: online hw on Mon and Wed nights due at midnight, and Friday hw due during office hours.

4) Speaking of office hours, I think he planned his office hours in a way just to spite me. I’m either at work or in class when he holds office hours. So whenever I need his help, he’s not available unless I personally go out of my way to see him. I already had to ditch a day of math to get help, and that’s a class I can’t miss out on.

5) His midterm was extrememly tough. He combined so much stuff together that required lots of deriving for the answer needed. I’m hoping for lots of partial credit to help me out there. But I don’t think I did so well. I studied so long too! He goes by material so fast that a lot of people don’t comprehend what’s going on during lecture. He also goes through a ton of stuff, and uses every last second he can to lecture, even extending his lecture into lab.

I’m so glad I took his class credit/no credit. If I screw my grade up, at least it won’t affect my GPA. I hate this class.
