Watch Chess Thinking

If you want to see a very nice looking chess game, go play this one. You can see the computer thinking, which gives a pretty neat show.

Engineers and American Idol
by inferno10 on Jan.27, 2004, under geeky
Ok, I think that one participant at the San Francisco American Idol tryouts just added another stereotype to the engineer image: engineers can’t sing. But since he’s from UC Berkeley, I guess us Cal Poly folk are still immune since we’re so chill.
Now if I only could find my pocket protector
Anyway, latest image:

Cosmonautica- Part I
by inferno10 on Apr.20, 2003, under geeky
I finally was able to transfer my old high school English project to the computer. Now you can enjoy it! It didn’t have a title, but I just came up with the name now: Cosmonautica. Before you watch the video, you should probably be aware of the context.
This group project was created to stress a point about works of art like The Rock of Sisyphus, Run Lola Run, and Ode to a Grecian Urn. Basically, destiny is inevitable. You may go forward, backward in time, but everything is set like a quilt. This may explain why you’ll see things repeating, going from the present to the future, to the past, etc.
Now to introduce the cast (in order of their picture appearance at the intro): Jeff Dela Cruz, Jeff Garzona, me (Jason Ozaeta), and Danny Naing (the cameraman and editor, which explains why his picture is so nice).
Now, for your viewing pleasure, part I of Cosmonautica, in Windows Media format.
Let me know what you think of the introduction. The other part(s) will be available once I add subtitles to everything.
Bargain blog!
by inferno10 on Mar.31, 2003, under geeky
I found this site from someone else, and it’s definitely one to keep. If you’re looking for bargains (aren’t we all?), bookmark this one site: http://www.morestuff4less.com/. This isn’t really a blog, although it uses MovableType. Rather, this site lists daily bargains that can be found all over the Internet. Also, it doesn’t list bargains from no-name sites you never heard of. It lists bargains from well known places, such as Amazon.com. I recommended this site to a TechTV chat host, and she found a great bargain for a memory stick she was in the market for. So it’s proven its worthiness. Let it prove its worthiness to you as well! And let me know if it worked. If you find a cheap 256MB or 512MB PC133 SODIMM memory chip, give me a holler!
I’m also adding it to my links section at the bottom right of this window.
