Carpet

by inferno10 on Jan.22, 2004, under full

I don’t know, but I think a carpet would really kick butt in the apartment, especially in the living room. The walls are looking good (they’ll look better when I get my cat frames on the walls), so it’s just the floor that needs work now.

Anyone know where I can get some nice, CHEAP carpets or rugs or whatever for the floor?

Jason-style Meatballs al Forno with Creamy Potato

by inferno10 on Oct.04, 2003, under full

Yep, that’s what I had for dinner. That’s what I’m actually eating right now. Made it myself too…from scratch! Yep, a 100% Jason original. Okay, so I used a recipe, but I had to once again modify it to suit my availability of ingredients. Therefore, it’s officially a Jason-style recipe. It took me two hours to make, the longest ever for me to cook something. There was so much crap to do in preparing this thing; but now that I’m actually loving what I’m eating, it was worth the time. I should do something like this weekly, working on a food project. It’s so much fun engineering something from nothing.

If you’d like the recipe for Jason-style meatballs al forno with creamy potato, just send me an email! If you don’t know my email, ask me in the Quickchat section on the right-hand side.

Here’s my latest picture. I was bored, so I played with macro mode.

Gh, Gho, GHOST!!!

by inferno10 on Jul.13, 2003, under full

This weekend has been nothing but parties. Okay, okay, it was just two parties. But still, that’s a weekend record for me. Here’s some pictures from a party at Moss Beach Distillery, somewhere on a cliff in Moss Beach. And no, I didn’t see the ghost of the blue lady while eating…

Come to Larry’s BBBQ!

by inferno10 on Jul.07, 2003, under full

Homer: “The extra B is for BYOBB!”
Bart: “What’s that B for?”
Homer: “It’s a typo.”

So our Fourth of July BBQ went off pretty well. Thursday night was spent preparing the food. Let me tell you, my brother’s friend Ernesto is a genious in the kitchen. His food is awesome, so it was cool preparing food for him. I first ended up removing shrimp shells. After that experience, I learned Jasons are no good at de-shelling shrimp. Rudy, another friend, was also de-shelling shrimp. There was one shrimp we were purposely avoiding, because it looked nasty. It might have had gangrene or something. Anyway, we were racing to see who would have to get that shrimp. I lost. So after the deed was done, we ended up wrapping the shrimp and pineapple cubes in bacon. When barbecued, it’s awesome! Ernesto also prepared his tri-tip steak. Those two items were the only things we knew were going to taste awesome. We also prepared chicken and pork spareribs, but Larry and Ernesto never prepared these items before, so the marinades they created were pretty much an experiment. Larry put pretty much everything he could into the chicken (BBQ sauce, beer, soy sauce…anything liquid went in there).

So after finishing the preparations close to one in the morning, my brother and I went home to sleep. Four short hours later, we had to get up. Why, you ask? Well, we planned to goto the park very early to reserve a spot. I was thinking, at six in the morning, no one in their right mind would be reserving a park spot. Well, when we got to the park, we were the second group to arrive. I guess we weren’t the only insane people after all! But seriously, it was insane. About twenty minutes after we arrived, ANOTHER guy arrived to reserve a spot in the park. We weren’t using three tables, so we let him have it. It seemed okay at the time, but later we found out it’s not good to have two separate Filipino groups at the same picnic area. The reason? Well, it was difficult for the other group to know what was their area and stuff. On many occasions, someone from their group would either sit at one of our tables or take something from our table! I’m thinking they were confused, but others thought they were just being rude. The nerve of them! We arrived first at the picnic area early in the morning and graciously let them use part of our picnic area. We even shared our fast lighting Matchlight coal! Other than that, the BBQ went without a hitch.

It was just a weird feeling having the families of mine, Ernesto, Rudy, Don, and especially Liza (my brother’s GF) all there. It seemed all families had a good time though. I think my parents and Liza’s parents got along. So I guess Larry and Liza’s wedding can start to be planned ^_^ j/k.

Here’s the pics of the event (hover the mouse over the pics for descriptions):
Looks like the BBQ is ready for slow sizzling... Cooked to perfection!
