I’m trying to figure out the name of that style of music where there is always a french horn or some kind of bassy horn instrument that provides a simple beat. You find it in a lot of Mexican music, but I can’t figure out the exact name. Help! I need to find some of this music to annoy my roomate with

I got me a new digital camera (again…again…again). I decided to sell my aging Canon S400 and buy a brand new Canon S1 IS. Sure, I lose 0.8 megapixel in quality, but it matters what you can do with what you have. I make up for the loss in my built-in optics, which has a 5.8mm-58mm zoom! That’s 10X baby! I can also attach 52mm lenses/filters to this bad boy once I get the lens adapter. It’s a tough motha’ *shut yo’ mouth* though to take a still picture when using the zoom. It’ll take me a while to get the hang of all the controls I have available now. Here’s some pics of my tomfoolery with my new camera:

I’m gonna feel guilty later on tonight.

I just got back in SLO, better than ever. Instead of my Jeep, I took my Honda Civic to school. It’ll tag along here in SLO till Thanksgiving. Anyway, the drive back was so fun. Having power in a car again felt good, rather than watching cars pass me while in the Jeep. I like the Wrangler, but the weather in SLO is really putting a beating both on me and on the car. It doesn’t even have air! No, not air conditioning, * AIR *, period. AC is such a luxury now, I’ll never doubt its usefulness.

Anyway, on to the road rage part. On the freeway, I was speeding like a maniac…well if an old woman was a maniac. I was gunning just between 80 and 90 most of the trip. I felt really good going that fast, except when slower cars in the fast lane just wouldn’t move. Then there was this jerkoff BMW that wouldn’t move, and instead gave my car the f-you winshield shower. Now the Beamer was going like 80 after that, apparently too scared to suffer the repercussions of this blasphemous act. But the hand of Jason did yet crush upon the infidels with his revenge. I sped up to 100 to pass them, then merged into their lane just in front of them and gave them a nice long shower. How’s that for revenge, dirtying up a BMW that did the same trick to you. HAH!!! From that point, I just followed them at a distance, looking for another chance to overtake em and remind them of their treachery. But lo, I arrived at SLO before that could happen.

So if you see a blue Honda Civic driving around in SLO with a stout Filipino in the driver’s seat, don’t cross him. That is all.

All I can say is “Bye Bye Bearshare”. Cal Poly peeps should understand what I mean, or they will, rather.
