I have milk!!!!

by inferno10 on Apr.05, 2003, under drained

Giver of life, pallid as the hair color from the creation which it comes from, supplier of needs of the body. Yes, I finally went down to Albertsons and bought myself a quart of milk. Now I can enjoy a bowl of Smart Start cereal to soothe my sore body after my late nite jog. Cereal never tasted so good, especially after a long detachment from a complete part of a breakfast which I never get now.

On a related note, I think today was the most foot traveling I have done for a while. Here’s a rundown of my traversaIs:

1) Walked with Sam from our dorm to the bus stop in front of the UU. We were going to the same place.
2) Ran back to my dorm to pick up the student ID I left, which was needed for the free bus ride.
3) Strided all the way back to the bus stop. Sam left already.
4) Went to the El Corral Bookstore book buyback area to try and rid myself of a couple remnants of my past at Poly. Got rid of 1 book before the bus arrived. $28 is what I got from the book
5) On foothill, walked a block to Aidas bookstore to get rid of the 2nd book. $5 is what I got from it. Went inside and bought some textbooks. I have a peeve I’ll talk about after.
6) Walked a couple blocks to Albertsons. Picked up the ever so precious milk.
7) Walked a block to Chile Peppers to pick up a burrito to go (I haven’t had any food yet, was 3:30 PM). 8) Walked around the shopping area’s parking lot to Subway and picked up a 6 inch sandwich (I was pretty hungry, and nostalgic for Subway)
9) Walked past Albertsons AGAIN, and went a block to the bus stop.
10) Back at the UU area, went back to my dorm, just in time for The Screen Savers!
11) Around midnight, took my late nite jog from the dorm all the way uphill to the far entrance to the school, next to highway 1, and back.

Anyway, the most annoying thing that happened to me during this whole adventure happened as I was buying my textbooks at Aidas. At the cashier desk, the cashier was being chatty with me. I told her that I wanted to pay using debit instead of my credit card. The first thing that peeved me was that she used credit instead of debit! It doesn’t matter much, since both ways deduct from my checking account instead. But the thing that scared and pissed me off at the same time was that she accidentily was about to charge me the wrong amount. This isn’t your typical overcharged by a dollar thing. Instead of charging me $153.28, she friggen typed in $753.28! Thankfully, the charge was declined. But now I’m not sure if I will get a $25 fine for her mistake. If I do, I’m gonna march right back to Aidas and demand a $25 refund.
