I recently set up a test site to try out Movable Type. If you dont’ know what it is, MovableType is a decentralized, web-based personal publishing system designed to ease maintenance of regularly updated news or journal sites, like weblogs. Since it’s not LiveJournal, I’d have complete freedom to FREEly design my blog as I see fit. Plus it wouldn’t be restricted to just blogging. I could add news or other stuff. The only disadvantage is that I’d lose the user base of LiveJournal, severly limiting the potential foot traffic to the blog.
